About House of Bagels
House of Bagels opened its first shop in 1962 and since then we are the “The Origional and Still The Best” in the Bay area which are genuine, New York-style, kettle boiled bagels. Unlike some other bagel makers who use stream oven and bake their bagels on racks, we make our bagels the way bagels are supposed to be made, starting with the purest, highest quality ingredients: high protein unbleached wheat flour, malt syrup, water and salt, then kettle-boil bagels and bake it in a stone hearth oven. As a result, our bagels has the crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside. And this is the original and authentic New York style bagels.
